May Half Term Holiday Club 2021!

We’ll be running our popular holiday club at Thames Ditton Infant School this term from 1-4 June. Find out what we’ve got planned for Stay’n’Play and Out’n’About below, as well as prices and special offers.

Suitable for children aged 4-11 (4 year olds must be in reception), we’ll be spending the week celebrating all creatures great and small. We’ve got lots of fun cookery and craft activities planned for both girls and boys – favourites include tasty turtle pie, hippity hoppity Oreo frogs, happy hippos and dancing giraffes.

Alongside all the craft, cookery and art, children have lots of opportunity to take part in ‘free play’ and we have tonnes of play equipment on site to keep them occupied throughout the day. Inside they’ll find fun things to do such as construction equipment, dolls houses, hamma beads, marble runs, reading, role play, snooker, table football and train sets. We spend a lot of time outdoors and the children love to play with our diddie cars and scooters, build dens, mess about with the footballs, skip, play swingball and challenge each other on the trim trail.

It’s not all about making and baking either! Your child will get moving, practice being a team player and develop their gross motor skills through dance and enjoyable games such as benchball, classic playground games, dodgeball, football, hockey, kwik cricket, parachute games, tag rugby and tennis which are available all day, every day.

If your children are aged 8-12 and enjoy a bit of a challenge, you might consider Out’n’About – our activity programme for older kids.

Using our company minibus, we’ll be taking the children off-site so they can participate in a range of exciting activities. This week we’re going canoeing, paintballing and playing mini golf.

The children will have their own base at Clubland, away from Stay’n’Play where they can chill out, play table football, watch movies, challenge each other on the Wii and make or bake one of the activities from the Stay’n’Play programme for that day.

On occasions where the activity takes place in close proximity to Karen’s (Company Director) house, the children will return there to have lunch and play in her large garden – and of course hang out with Mylo the dog, Clublands’ unofficial mascot!

Location and Facilities

The club will be based at Thames Ditton Infant School for May Half Term in 2021.

The address is: Speer Road, Thames Ditton, Surrey, KT7 0PW and access is through the gates to the playground on St Nicholas Road.

We’ll be making use of the school hall, Clublands base in the Garden Room and a number of classrooms to ensure each bubble has their own space to hang out in that will be filled with equipment relative to their age. We spend a lot of time outside and we’re excited to share that the outside spaces at the school have recently undergone a fantastic makeover!

The rear playground now contains a ‘play zone’ with a slide and climbing section, a wonderful new playhouse, mud kitchen and a sensory area with different textures and scents to experience as well as paths and a high level walkway for the children to explore. The field is also now usable all year round as the grass has been replaced with AstroTurf.

Staying Covid-19 Safe and other FAQs

We’ve had plenty of practice at staying Covid-19 safe and we’re pleased to say that there were no recorded cases of Coronavirus resulting from our Holiday Clubs in 2020 and our most recent Easter Holiday Club.
