Welcome back! As the autumn term comes to a close, we’re excited to share highlights from a busy and fun-filled few months at Clubland. From reconnecting with familiar faces to welcoming new children and staff, it’s been a term packed with friendship, creativity, and celebrations.
Staffing
We’ve had some new additions to our team this term! Here’s a quick overview of who’s who at Clubland:
Breakfast Club:
- Manager: Kim (Tuesday to Thursday)
- Deputy: Andreja (managing the setting on Monday and Friday)
- Team: Lydia, Darcy, Marisa, and Katie
Afterschool Club:

Our new team members have settled in brilliantly, bringing fresh energy and ideas. The children have enjoyed getting to know them through shared activities and building meaningful connections.
Our Activities
This term has been packed with exciting topics and events, celebrating milestones and exploring creativity. Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve been up to:
Special Events & Weekly Themes:
We marked Harvest, Diwali, Remembrance Day, Children in Need, Anti-Bullying Week, and World Kindness Day. Weekly themes ranged from Friendship and Autumn to The Sky at Night and, of course, Christmas.
Cooking Highlights:
The children had lots of fun in the kitchen, making:
- Vegetable soup
- Autumn leaf biscuits
- Fruit kebabs
- Mug cakes
- Edible sparklers
- Gingerbread men
Art & Craft Creations:
Our creative projects included:
- Painting: Using vegetables and finger painting pumpkins
- Gluing & Sticking: Paper plate scarecrows, Rangoli patterns, and Halloween skeletons
- Crafting: Star wands, galaxy playdough, salt dough ornaments, glittery firework pictures, and 3D poppies
Festive Fun:
To celebrate Christmas, the children made their own advent calendars and decorated our tree. The rooms are now adorned with glittery snowflakes and sparkling decorations, bringing a magical touch to our setting. We wrapped up the term with a Christmas sing-along, a scavenger hunt (featuring gold coins!), and a movie night complete with pizza and popcorn.
Food Menu
Snack time has been a treat this term, featuring hearty meals and classic favorites. Highlights included:
- Egg fried rice
- Vegetable noodles
- Carbonara
- Pasta bakes
- Sausage, mash, and gravy
It’s been wonderful to see the children exploring new flavors and even asking for recipes to try at home! Snack time has become a cherished moment to refuel, share stories, and bond.
Next Term
The new year promises even more exciting activities and events! We’ll dive into themes like “When It’s Cold,” Chinese New Year, Valentine’s Day, and more. Stay tuned for plenty of adventures and creative projects to come.
